The use of 3D applications in the browser is growing continuously and opens new possibilities for creating innovative formats and experiences. In collaboration with Invisible Room, we developed a design tool acting as a proof of concept for a 3D only powered stock photo market.

Threed puts your screen designs into a fully customizable device and allows you to download a mockup with custom colors, backgrounds, shadows etc. for presentations, ads and more.

Our vision is to deliver a browser based stock photo market, where users can live-render photorealistic photos. 3D rendering stock material isn’t new to the industry. In 2014, Ikea already rendered over 75% of their catalogue images via their company software and render farms. We plan to move this directly into the browser on any device for everyone to use. So there’s no extra software or server setup involved.

Live rendering presets is just the first step. In the future, we see tons of possibilities for further features, that can really redefine how content creators use and create stock photos:
